Pete Davidson Says He Received a Death Threat After He Started Dating Ariana Grande

And Twitter is not ok with it.

Pete Davidson received a death threat shortly after he started dating Ariana Grande, the comedian revealed in a new interview with Howard Stern.

"Yeah, I got a death threat," he told Stern in a video published Monday (September 24). "Someone wanted to shoot me in the face, because she's so hot. Do you know how insane that is? I was like, 'Am I that ugly that people want to shoot me in the face?' They're like, 'No, f*ck this guy.' What did I do?"

Elsewhere in the interview, Davidson said that abusive comments on the Internet are part of the reason why he no longer has the password to his own Instagram account. "I have an account in case I have to do something, but I don't know how to go on there," he revealed, adding, "I don't f*cking care. It makes me feel weird about myself. It's just like, 'What did you expect?' Whenever I think of something, like, if I post something, and people just sh*t all over it, I was like, 'What are you—you're asking for it,' you know?"

"And if you want to find bad stuff about yourself, you can find it very easily," he continued.

Back in July, the comedian wiped all of his Instagram posts, citing his bad experience being on social media. “No there’s nothing wrong. No nothing happened. No there’s nothing cryptic about anything,” he wrote then, per Teen Vogue. “I just don’t wanna be on Instagram anymore. Or on any social media platform. The internet is an evil place and it doesn’t make me feel good. Why should I spend any time on negative energy when my real life is f*cking lit. The fact that I even have to say this proves my point. I love you all and I’m sure I’ll be back at some point."

Davidson (or the keeper of his password) did make a triumphant return, posting a since-deleted video that featured him making fun of the paparazzi. Just as he revealed in his Howard Stern interview, his Instagram bio now reads "account run by someone else."
