Pete Davidson and Kaley Cuoco Are All Loved-Up in a New Time Travel Rom-Com, and the First Pics Are Here

It’s almost time for cold weather, spooky season, and the even spookier cuffing season, which makes rom-coms the absolute perfect choice for when you need a distraction. Enter: Kaley Cuoco and Pete Davidson’s upcoming film Meet Cute, where the two actors join together in the romantic pairing we never knew we needed, lol.

Just this Tuesday, Peacock dropped first-look photos of the actors ~in character~. So get ready to grab some popcorn and probs a box of Kleenex if you’re a sensitive girlie like me, because it looks like it’s going to be epic. And while we count down the seconds until Meet Cute premieres, here’s everything we know about your future fave movie.

First things first…what exactly is Meet Cute about?

The Saturday Night Live alum and the Flight Attendant actor play Gary and Sheila—a duo who fall in love at first sight after spending a perfect evening together…like, almost too perfect. And that’s because we come to realize that Sheila has a time machine and she’s been using it to relive the night over and over again to engineer a love-at-first-sight date. In-ter-est-ing!

When does Meet Cute come out?

Pete and Kaley’s upcoming rom-com is set to premiere exclusively on Peacock starting September 21, 2022. BRB, setting an alarm on my phone, tablet, and laptop and a reminder on my work and personal cals (sry @ Cosmo!)

Has anyone spilled more deets on it?

Meet Cute director Alex Lehmann, who previously helmed the films Acidman, Paddleton, and Blue Jay, had this to say in a press release about the movie’s release date announcement: “If I had a time machine right now, I’d be torn. Do I skip ahead to our release date or do I go back and relive the joy it was making this film? Lucky for me, it’s a decision I don’t get to make. I’m excited for audiences to get swept away on this wild romantic ride exclusively on Peacock.”

Val Boreland, executive VP of content acquisition at NBCUniversal, added, “We are thrilled to add Meet Cute to our slate of Peacock original movies this fall. It’s the perfect film to join Peacock’s catalogue as the service continues to expand with a range of films for every fan and occasion.” Noted, noted!

Is there a trailer out yet?

Unfortunately for us, there isn’t a trailer out just yet, which means we’ll have to settle for photos. However!! Since the movie is slated to premiere in a little more than a month (not that we’re counting, lol), fans hopefully won’t have to wait long until a trailer does drop.
