Pete Davidson Just Walked Alexander Wang’s Show

The Saturday Night Live star came down the runway in a tank top and baggy pants.

We all know the Alexander Wang Gang—Kendall Jenner, Kaia Gerber, Binx Walton, et al—all of whom walked in the designer’s dazzling Spring 2020 show in New York tonight. Held under an open sky at the famous Rockefeller Center plaza, the event played host to a most unexpected modeling newbie: none other than comedian and frequent tabloid fixture, Pete Davidson.

Yes, the sweetly awkward funny man made his runway debut tonight, thanks to Wang. He wore a white tank (all the better to show off his many tattoos), a pair of baggy hybrid leather and denim pants, a logo belt, and a baseball hat worn backwards. Sheepish and hunched over, Davidson played the role of supermodel with an awkward shrug, though he seemed to get a kick out of the audience’s surprise reaction. Is it me, or did Ariana Grande’s ex just walk the runway? was the collective refrain on the front row. He barely cracked a smile as he mooched across the plaza, just spitting distance from his actual job (Saturday Night Live is recorded at 30 Rock.) It was pure Wang-ian fun and games. All in all, the 25-year-old comedian made for a pretty adorable gen-Y Zoolander.
