Why did Pete Davidson and Chase Sui Wonders break up? There’s no specific reason why Pete Davidson and Chase Sui Wonders broke up. A source told People that “he’s single again and that “he’s out [of rehab] and about and doing really well.”

TMZ broke the news of the duo involved in a car crash on March 5, 2023. Law enforcement sources told the gossip site that they were involved in a car accident Saturday night around 11 PM. He was behind the wheel of a Mercedes and driving at a high rate of speed through the Flats neighborhood of Beverly Hills. There were no reported injuries.

“We believe that Mr. Davidson engaged in reckless driving, which ultimately resulted in his involvement in a serious collision into a home,” a spokesperson for the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement at the time of the car crash. “Luckily, no one was seriously injured as a result of this collision. We know that reckless driving can have devastating consequences.”

Earlier in the day of the crash, Pete and Chase were spotted together in Kauai, Hawaii and packing on the PDA. According to Daily Mail, the two were seen publicly hugging and kissing and seemed to ask someone to take pictures of them embracing and smooching using the Generation actress’s cell phone camera.

In June 2023, Pete reportedly checked into the same Pennsylvania rehab center as comedian friend John Mulaney. A source told Entertainment Tonight that he checked in and is working to “get back on track.”

“Pete Davidson has been in rehab and is being treated for mental health issues,” the source says. “He can be manic and wasn’t sleeping well or taking good care of himself, so he decided to go to get help, take a break, and get back on track. Pete is focusing on himself.”

After his crash, Pete was charged with a misdemeanor and entered an 18-month diversion program in July 2023, the District Attorney’s Office confirmed to People. The actor must complete 50 hours of community service and 12 hours of traffic school as well as appear at a morgue or hospital for educational purposes. Davidson must also pay “restitution and obey all laws,” per the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Pete and Chase were reportedly together since December 2022. The couple was first spotted together at a New York Rangers game in Madison Square Garden in New York City on Monday, January 9, 2022. According to some eyewitnesses to TMZ, the two were cuddling while watching something on the comedian’s phone in a cafe in Brooklyn. In the photos, which you can see here, the actress wrapped her arm around Davidson as she leaned in closer and the pair allegedly shared a few kisses.
