Pete Davidson Dyed His Hair Pastel Blue With the Help of Colorist Aura Friedman

Bye-bye, bleach blonde.

It's been a couple of weeks since Pete Davidson visited barber Micah Walker for what many people deemed a quintessential post-breakup haircut. But it seems Davidson isn't done changing up his look. After spending nearly the entirety of his now-terminated engagement to Ariana Grande with bleached-blonde hair, the comedian has switched things up again by dyeing it pastel blue.

More accurately, Davidson visited the Sally Hershberger Salon in New York City to have colorist Aura Friedman give him the new hue. "Had the pleasure of doing this funny guys hair," she wrote in a caption accompanying an Instagram photo of his new color, along with the hashtags #skybluehair and #bluedream.

The photo, which has garnered nearly 2,000 likes, prompted plenty of comments that were supportive of both the new look and Davidson himself. "What a babe 😍😍😍," one commenter wrote. Another fan of the color wrote, "💙 He looks so good with the blue." One of Friedman's followers was focused more on Davidson's face than his hair, saying "I love him!!!!!!!💕💕 So good to see him smile. He deserves to be so happy."

Although Friedman posted the photo on Friday, it seems the salon appointment might have happened a bit earlier in the week. Davidson's hair was already blue in a promo clip that has been running throughout the week for the upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live, in which he will undoubtedly end up wearing a wig or two. In the comercial, Davidson jokingly (and unsuccessfully) proposes to musical guest Maggie Rogers. The bit apparently didn't go over too well with Grande, who wrote "For somebody who claims to hate relevancy u sure love clinging onto it huh," in a now-deleted tweet.

Davidson isn't the first celebrity who has trusted Friedman with a hair-color transformation. In addition to countless models, actors like Leighton Meester, Allison Williams, Salma Hayek and more have been seen in shades bestowed upon them by the widely-known colorist — though sky blue may be a first among her famous clients.
