The Pete Davidson cinematic universe just got a little bigger.

The Saturday Night Live comedian announced during yesterday's NBCUniversal Upfront presentation that Edie Falco—who famously played mafia boss wife Carmela Soprano on The Sopranos—has been cast to play his mother on his forthcoming Peacock comedy series, Bupkis, which will be based on Davidson's life.

"I am here so that the media will start paying attention to me," he joked at the start of his speech, per Variety.

"I’ve done a lot of projects that reference my life because that’s kind of all I can do," he continued. "One of the things that sucks about that though is my family members, they often get to play themselves because of, you know, the low budget situation. So, my mom is starting to think of herself as a real actress. And that’s why it makes me extremely happy to get to introduce the woman who will be playing my mom—Edie Falco."

Falco joined the comedian onstage. "Finally, I get to play an overwhelmed mother of two living in a world of corruption. Except this time, it’s Staten Island," she said. "So when is it that I get the free Peacock password? That’s where it’s streaming right?"

Davidson continued the bit, adding, "We’re going to be on Peacock streamer that’s responsible for so many great shows like 'MacGruber' and the reruns of 'The Office.' So look out for our new show streaming on the 'Cock. Talk talking about getting ready to be filled with long six stories!"

Davidson will co-write Bupkis with his longtime friend and collaborator Dave Sirus—whom he co-wrote The King of Staten Island with—as well as Judah Miller, according to Deadline. The half-hour live-action comedy will be executive produced by Davidson, Sirus, Miller, SNL's Lorne Michaels, and Broadway Video's Andrew Singer and Erin David.
