Pet Sitter Hilariously 'Arguing' With Naughty Ferret Is Absolutely Priceless

The idea of getting paid to take care of pets may sound like a great idea, but pet sitting isn't for the weak. Not only do you have to ensure an animal you've never met before stays alive and well, but you sometimes have to deal with behavior issues, too. After all, you're with an animal who barely knows you and probably misses their owner—it's understandable why they may be anxious!

For one unlucky pet sitter, though, one tiny client was very, very angry. This generous friend was taking care of Tuna the ferret when she decided to make his life as difficult as possible. All Tuna wanted to do was get into a room where she could disappear for hours, but her smart and determined pet sitter knew better than to let her do that. Needless to say, she didn't like it!

Tuna's February 18 TikTok video has over 21 million views only a few days after being posted, and it's easy to see why. This ferret has an attitude way bigger than she is!

LOL! This little gal is determined to get into her favorite room, but her pet sitter, Braeden, is equally determined not to let that happen. I suppose that's what happens when two stubborn friends start to argue, but I never would have expected her to start attacking his feet!

Other ferret owners aren't surprised, though. Commenter @theecheyy explained, "You have to wear socks, man; my ferret went after any bare feet." OMG! That sounds like something a cat might do, but I had no idea that ferrets will nip, too.

Why do Ferrets Bite People's Feet?

As it turns out, it's not unusual at all for a pet ferret to 'attack' a person's feet. It's a very common behavior! Even so, it can be annoying and painful for the ferret owner who receives those bites.

In general, ferrets nip at toes, feet, and ankles as a way of getting your attention. They may be asking to initiate play, reminding you of dinnertime, or simply bugging you out of boredom. When you think about it—it makes sense. Ferrets are incredibly short as it is, and the only part of your body that they can reach is your feet. A quick bite certainly is an effective way to get your attention!

If a ferret bites hard, however, it could be a reaction of fear or anger. It seems like Tuna's bites definitely stung on Braeden's bare toes, but I sure hope they made up soon afterward!
