People on Twitter Found a Connection Between 'Tangled' and Coronavirus
Social distancing and quarantine means people have a lot of time on their hands. They're also binging a lot of movies. So it was only a matter of time before people starting coming up with all kinds of theories about at least one of these movies. Disney's 2010 film Tangled is in the spotlight right now after fans discovered that in the movie, Rapunzel is trapped in a tower in a place literally called "Corona."
This is not a serious post suggesting that a Disney film predicted a global pandemic, but people seem to be really fascinated by the idea.
Disney, the people are curious
Fun fact: Corona is the name of the Kingdom in the Disney film Tangled where Rapunzel was forced to social distances by her mother. Thanks, @Disney. What other predictions await us in your vault?

Corona is an island kingdom and the birthplace of Rapunzel in Disney's 2010 animated feature film, Tangled.
After a significant period of isolation it is also where Rapunzal met her future husband/prince.

Fans are also putting this into perspective
Thank you social media for reminding me that Rapunzel was locked in a tower in the kingdom of Corona for 17 yrs. We can handle a few months of quarantine. Also, watch the tv series. It's amazing!#Rapunzel #tangled #tangledtheseries #disney #fanart #quarentine #corona pic.twitter.com/XAgViowtS4

Other fans pointed out that Rapunzel spent a lifetime in what was essentially a quarantine. If she could handle years of this, we can handle a few months.
Rapunzel went through it before we did
I'm watching Tangled and I can't believe Rapunzel practiced social distancing in a tower away from the village of Corona. I just— pic.twitter.com/WfZJl6PNVn

The movie, which stars Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi, came out in November of 2010, which is solidly almost a decade ago. Although a Disney movie isn't usually the place we go for health recommendations similar to those from the CDC, the movie does have some good suggestions for how to keep busy during this time indoors. USA Today tweeted that the princess in the tower actually does some pretty constructive things to pass the time.
10. Take note from "Tangled" star Rapunzel, who has an entire song dedicated to how she's spent her days alone in a castle. 🏰
Activities include: Ventriloquy, candle-making, papier-mâché and adding a new painting to her gallery.— USA TODAY (@USATODAY) March 16, 2020
"Ventriloquy, candle-making, papier-mâché and adding a new painting to her gallery." These activities are all not bad ideas for what to do when you have to stay inside and stare out the window all day.
