Easter is right around the corner! So naturally, we're loading up on all kinds of Easter candies from chocolate bunnies to colorful jelly beans. But if there's one thing every Easter basket needs, it's a Cadbury Creme Egg. These iconic treats are only available between January and Easter, after all—so we need to get them in while we can! But did you know there's more than one way to eat a Creme Egg? That's right, people! They're taking on a whole new form thanks to this very clever TikTok trend.

Introducing: Creme Egg croissants! They combine the flaky goodness of ready-made croissant dough (yes, the kind in the can) with melty, creamy chocolate eggs. Oh, and did we mention they are made in an air fryer? It doesn't get much easier than that!

This brilliant air fryer recipe comes to us from TikTok user @BoredofLunch who's Cadbury Creme Egg croissants have garnered 780,000 views and counting! In this case, @BoredofLunch uses two ingredients: store-bought croissant dough and Cadbury Creme Eggs—and that's it!

Once you've popped open your can of dough (isn't that sound always so satisfying?), the steps for the Creme Egg croissants couldn't be easier: Cut the dough along the perforated lines to create triangles, then place one Cadbury egg on the dough. Wrap the dough so it surrounds the egg and roll in your hands to make a ball (the egg should be fully covered by the dough). Brush with an egg wash and places it in the air fryer basket. Cook in the air fryer at 350˚ for 5 to 8 minutes.

The end result? A buttery pastry filled with a creamy, dreamy molten center that you'll swoon over!

Other TikToker creators have been fast to recreate the treats, including @Jami.Louise, who confirmed how delicious they were.

"This looks amazing and I want to try it soooo bad," comments one TikTok user.

Another commenter made an equally delicious recommendation, "If you don't like creme egg, use the caramel egg. 🤤"

Our Food Director Erin Merhar agrees. "I love this easy recipe idea for a quick, unexpected treat for Easter morning!" she says. "I'll definitely be adding a package of crescent rolls to my Easter weekend shopping list, and slipping a few Cadbury Eggs in my kid's baskets. 😉"

Next up, we wonder if other Cadbury flavors would work for this food trend—think caramel eggs and oreo eggs. Hey, why not? Easter only comes once a year!
