People Think Priyanka Chopra Snubbed Kate Middleton and Prince William at Wimbledon

Priyanka Chopra hit up the Wimbledon Women’s Final last weekend, and apparently people think she purposely snubbed Prince William and Kate Middleton when they arrived. Which…probably is not the case.

In a video from the event making the rounds on Twitter and posted by The Sun, the duke and duchess enter the Royal Box to a round of applause from fans, and Priyanka—who was just a couple of rows behind Will and Kate—doesn’t join in. But if you watch the video, you’ll notice Priyanka was adjusting her dress at the time, and it seems pretty possible (if not probable!) that she simply didn’t notice the Cambridges’ arrival.

But of course everyone is ~reading into~ this moment due to Priyanka being friends with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who aren’t exactly on amazing terms with the rest of the royal family right now.

Meghan and Priyanka have been close for years, and like many of the duchess’s good friends, Priyanka doesn’t speak about her that much in public in order to respect her privacy. Although she did once correct Wendy Williams ahead of the royal wedding when she referred to Meghan as “Prince Harry’s girlfriend,” saying, “Also, Meghan Markle, actress…Suits…her achievements, mm-hmm, just saying….” Iconic!
