People Think Meghan Markle Had Plastic Surgery To Look Like Kate Middleton

Once upon a time, people were getting plastic surgery to look like Meghan Markle. (Back in 2017, pre Megxit of course, plastic surgeons said Meghan’s nose was one of the most popular plastic surgery requests among clients if you can believe it!) But fast forward to 2023, and it seems like the Duchess of Sussex, 41, has sparked her own plastic surgery speculation! The internet thinks Meghan has undergone plastic surgery, after noticing that she looked a little different at her first appearance since announcing that she won’t be attending King Charles’ coronation, and will instead stay home in Montecito, California to celebrate son Prince Archie’s fourth birthday.

The internet has even gone one step further and thought there was something a little familiar about the mom-of-two’s radiant new look, and they have drawn comparisons with another famous royal… her sister-in-law Kate Middleton! Did Meghan Markle get plastic surgery to look more like Kate Middleton?!

Meghan Markle Unveils New Look At TED Talk

Meghan has been under the radar for a while now, with some reports claiming that she wanted to keep her head down while Prince Harry, 38, was promoting his bombshell memoir, Spare, due to the surrounding controversy. (She even came under fire herself for not "warning" her husband about the consequences of being so candid with his drug use revelations!) However, she made her first public appearance on Sunday, April 23rd, as she introduced long-time friend and photographer Misan Harriman via video link at a TED Talk, looking fresh and glowing! FYI, Harriman took those adorable pictures of Princess Lilibet on her first birthday, as well as the pictures of the couple before the opening ceremony of the One Young World summit in Manchester, England, among many others.

In the video introduction, which was projected onto a big screen, the former Suits actress was sporting a super-sleek, straight hairstyle which appeared to be a little lighter than her signature jet-black color, and seemed to be cut in long face-framing layers. It wasn’t just the hair that looked different, as she was sporting a glowing makeup look consisting of dewy skin, rosy cheeks, and pink lips.

Meghan Introduces Misan Harriman Via Video Link

As part of Meghan's introduction, she said: "Our next speaker has an unmatched eye for a good photograph. I’ve experienced his talent first-hand as he has captured many meaningful milestones for me and my family, and I know there are many others who share in this experience."

She continued: "His lens has photographed everything from events that have changed the world, invisible moments we all desperately needed to see, along with some of the planet’s most recognizable faces. But, this was not always his path and you might be surprised to hear not who but what he credits for his success. I am so thrilled to welcome to the TED stage my dear friend, Misan Harriman."

Kate Middleton Comparisons

As expected, social media was rife with comments about Meghan's new look, and the comparisons to the Princess of Wales, 41, were hard to ignore! "PLASTIC SURGERY ALERT? Sad Meghan Markle wants to be Kate Middleton so bad," one Twitter user wrote. "She looks like she’s trying to look like Kate… that won’t happen," quipped another. "Wow she must be really jealous of Kate, desperate much meg," someone else wrote, while another Twitter user referenced the color of Meghan's eyes, which seemed lighter in the video, writing: "Omg. Meghan Markle, who is jealous and obsessed with the Princess of Wales, is wearing hazel contact lenses to look like Kate." "Stalker comes to mind," one Twitter user directly replied.

Many Meghan fans came to her defense though, with one fan writing, "Meghan didn’t have plastic surgery," adding, "It’s all about lighting, angles, and contouring." Another said: "Meghan doesn’t need plastic surgery! She is sun-kissed, getting love, and moisturized! That is GLOW!" Someone else even thought she "looks more like Jennifer Lopez than the POW."

Plastic Surgery Speculation

It wasn’t just the Princess of Wales comparisons that got social media talking! "I think Meghan’s public absence has been explained. And it was nothing to do with the children," one Twitter user wrote, followed by a winking emoji, alongside a screen shot from the video. "Is she going for Lopez, Kim or Aniston here? Tell me she has no originality without telling me," said another, to which another user replied, "I immediately saw Lopez," and another concurred, "That’s what I saw too."

Many others couldn't help but wonder what work she could have had done, with one fan speculating: "Facelift, filler dissolved in lips, buccal fat removal, more filler in cheeks, Botox, more subtle veneers, chin implant is my guess. Plus Vaseline on camera. Oh and another nose reduction but only around the sides, bump left intact. Looks weird." "Definitely a facelift and nose thinning out! It’s undeniable. Looks good to me," wrote another. "She had under her eyes filled and an eye lift," thought another.

At the time of writing, Meghan's reps have declined to comment about the plastic surgery speculation, although insiders reportedly told The Post that she denied the plastic surgery allegations. The Post also noted that multiple sources said Meghan put on a lot of weight when she was pregnant with both Archie and Lilibet, and now she has finally lost the weight, her appearance is likely to be a little different. One of the sources even reportedly claimed that she "loves" her nose, so it's unlikely that she would have wanted to change it, although another source thought "Botox and some lip fillers are likely," The Post writes.

TikTok Comments

There are many posts on social media discussing the TED Talk introduction, with the TikTok video above even mocking the reception Meghan's intro got, as the user, @the.royal.watcher, noted how the crowd barely clapped after she had finished talking. Ouch! But as expected, Meghan's appearance got most of the attention in the comments section!

"Introducing her new face," one fan quipped, followed by the hand clapping emoji. "Wow, she went shopping I see!" exclaimed another. "How much work has she had done?" asked another, while someone else also wanted to know, "What happened to her?" Another user simply commented, "Nose job?" while another said they "like the nose job." Another user even went as far as thinking she had "cheek implants."

"The rebranding has commenced," commented another fan. "What's up with the face?" asked another, adding, "Her eyes are hazel now." "Is that her Ai because it looks nothing like her?" asked another TikTok user. "She looks so different," said another, while someone else thought, "That's why she was missing so long." Another user agreed, adding, "Wow. Now we know why she isn’t traveling overseas. Girl still healing from that nose job, lower eye lift and fat transfer!"

However, many other TikTok users actually came to Meghan's defense and complimented her appearance, with one fan saying she looked "Gorgeous as ever!" and another saying, "She looks so beautiful," followed by the heart eyes emoji. "She's beautiful," concurred another, followed by the face with hearts emoji, while another said, "She looks flawless," and another said, "She’s looking fabulous."

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Spotted At LA Lakers Game

One day after the TED Talk, Meghan was spotted at the Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies basketball game with her husband Prince Harry. Her radiant appearance wasn’t a one-off, as she also looked glowing at the game, wearing a pink 'Maxwell' linen blazer from California-based brand Staud and matching 'Eris' high-waisted shorts. She accessorized with a plain white top underneath and nude Aquazurra pumps, while her hair was still looking sleek and straight, although perhaps with a little more texture and volume to it than the night before.
