People Are Talking Crap About The Worst Design Flaws They've Seen, And I Can't Believe Someone Okayed These

We recently posted a list of terrible design flaws that frustrated the hell out of people. Members of the BuzzFeed Community flooded the comments with their own examples, and some of these are beyond frustrating:

."My university had a 'wheelchair ramp' that connected a fairly major throughway between several dorms and the rest of campus. Too bad someone thought it'd be cute if the ramp zig-zagged, turning at sharp right angles every three feet. Of course, this rendered this ADA-required feature (and the campus shortcut) utterly unusable for handicapped individuals."

."At a condo I once stayed in, there was a glass wall between the bathroom and bedroom, with the toilet perfectly visible. Because, not only do I want to wake up from a bright light shining through at 2 a.m., but I also want the first thing I see to be someone sitting on the toilet."

."Automatic sinks. Dumbest invention ever. They simply do not work for me. It takes like 5 seconds of moving my hands in all directions to activate the sensor (sometimes the sensor is dirty, so it does not work at all), and when the water finally starts running, it usually stops too early after few seconds."

."My grandma's home phone has the BLOCK CALL button in between the answer and hang up buttons — it’s bigger than them as well, so she’s blocked almost everyone in the family at one time or another."

."My last hair dryer had the on/off button right where you hold it to use it. I'd accidentally turn it off about every other time I dried my hair. Sometimes twice per hair drying session."

."I stayed at a hotel where you had to put your key card in a slot on the wall before the lights would turn on. We checked in after sunset, and in the dark you couldn't see the slot and sign telling you to what to do."

."I've stayed in a few hotels the past couple months, and I've noticed they don't put locks on the bathrooms anymore. Most of the bathrooms have sliding doors, but no locks. It makes traveling with kids and trying to go to the bathroom a spectator sport. Really great design."

."For some reason, I accidentally hit the mute button 50% of the time I have my iPhone up to my ear. I never know it’s happened until the person on the other end starts saying, 'Hello?'"

."The removal of the headphone jack on the iPhone."

."About a month ago, I accidentally caused an incident because my Apple Pay didn't register, so I had to double click. I also had the emergency call setting on to activate with rapid clicks of *the same button*. Five minutes later, I went to check the time and there were multiple notifications because it had called 911 and then texted my location to my emergency contacts. Everybody was freaking out. So yeah, I turned the emergency setting off, but Jesus, why the hell?!"

."I've noticed that some car manufacturers are trying to get cute with turn signals. The worst I've seen was one where it was a single line of LEDs that didn't light up simultaneously — they just kinda crawled along if you understand my drift...This seems like a recipe for disaster."
