People Are Sharing Serious Movies They Mistook For Comedies — And I Genuinely Want To Know If You Made The Same Mistake

"I'm not talking about movies that bill themselves as a parody. I'm talking the sort of movies that make you think 'they CAN'T be serious right now.'"

1."I'm 100% convinced that every single person besides Vin Diesel is aware that the Fast and Furious franchise is now a parody of itself. People are supposed to laugh at it while they play it completely straight."
2."Moonfall. I actually burst out laughing in the cinema near the end during either the hollow moon or the alien swarm part. I'd taken the movie seriously up until that point, but I couldn't take it anymore and had a giggling fit that lasted several minutes."

9."In The Life Zone, pregnant women are imprisoned and forced to have children. It's an anti-choice film, so we're actually supposed to side with the jailers. It honestly feels like a movie made by pro-choice filmmakers to make anti-choice people look bad. But no, it was written by true believers."
10."The Pope's Exorcist — and it was spectacular. Glory shots of Russell Crowe on a Vespa, 90s quality CGI, and of course the accent. Oh my god the accent."
