People Are Sharing How Cheaters And Liars React To Being Called Out, And It's Accurate
On Wednesday, Reddit user u/shutup5234 asked "What’s something people say or do when they get caught lying or cheating?" Soon, a whole lot of people were dropping examples of the things cheaters/liars say when they've been called out.
Here's what they said:
1."Blame someone else."
2."They get mad at you for snooping."
3."Get super defensive. Start pointing out all of your flaws to shift the focus to you and bad things you may have done in the past, even if it's completely irrelevant."
4."Something like, 'You don't understand what trauma I've dealt with since my dad died.' Meanwhile, the dad died 10 years ago."
5.“'It’s not what it looks like,' and 'You’re taking things out of context.'"
6."They say, 'You're overreacting.'"
7."Really? You're gonna start a fight in front of your sister?"
8."People tend to repeat their lies in a louder voice if it's questioned. As if speaking loudly suddenly makes what you're saying true!"
9."Deny it, gaslight, or in short, continue to try and save their own ass as they see fit. I know people that absolutely cannot accept the blame. How do you deal with people like that?"
10."I'm just getting my wild days out. Didn't mean to meet my future spouse so early."
11."Start to overdo it in the excuse department. Like, if you want to lie, keep it simple and base it as much as possible in the truth."
