People Are Revealing Very Specific Fashion Trends That They Find Completely Unattractive And Absolutely Cannot Stand Seeing In 2023

Recently over on the Ask Reddit subreddit, u/mr_slixxy posed the question, "What is a piece of clothing or an accessory that makes a person immediately unattractive?" And people didn't hold back in the comments as they responded with what they consider to be the worst and most ick-inducing fashion choices.

Here are 17 of the best responses:

Note: Fashion is completely subjective. People are entitled to wear whatever makes them happy. And, every person I used as an example in this post is merely used as a visual aid, NOT for the purpose of ridicule.

1."Any shirt that has a long statement about how the person wants to be viewed. Like, 'I'M A BEER-DRINKING, HARD-WORKING, GUN-OWNING REAL MAN WHO EATS MEAT AND NEVER MAKES EXCUSES OR TAKES SHORTCUTS IN LIFE. IF YOU'RE TRIGGERED, TAKE A NUMBER. I'LL GET TO YOU IN ABOUT A YEAR.'"

2."Crocs. I don't know why they got super popular. I know a few Gen Z'ers that try to collect special edition ones, but they are ugly. Just so so so ugly."

u/LittleTay"They’re just disrespectful to feet. I have seen some of the newer sneaker-style lace-up ones that aren’t terrible, but just give me my boat shoes for summer wear and I’m good."

3."Trilby or fedora hats. You’re not a) Harrison Ford or b) Jon Hamm. You just aren’t, bud. Accept it and move forward with your life, because every other man wearing these hats looks like a child playing dress up."

4."Those god-awful jeans with the random ribbed patches on the thighs. You know the ones. ABOLISH THEM!"

5."The clothing/jackets that have cereal advertising all over them. Like, why? Why do you want to be a cereal box?"

6."Those 'Lions Not Sheep' t-shirts."

u/Ok_Highlight6952"They make 'Wolves Not Sheep' clothing, too. My ex dates a guy who wears those and 'Alpha' shirts. It's so cringe."

"If someone is wearing that shirt, I need to know nothing else about them."

7."I may sound sacrilegious as a Southerner, but dear god, can people stop having 'camo' as their favorite color?"

9."The preppy frat man/boy style. Salmon-colored shorts, a pastel button-down, and boat shoes. Sorry, but it makes some people look like overgrown toddlers at Easter mass."

10."Anything with the Joker on it. Double that if there's an edgy quote too."

11."The one-huge-hole cut-out jeans. They’re normal jeans with one huge distressed hole in each leg cut from below the waistband to the cuff. When you sit, they literally fall off your legs. Some dude wore them to school all the time until he ripped them by standing up and getting them caught on a chair. He had to be sent home."

12."'Murica shirts. You know, the kind that say 'FREEDOM' or have an eagle and flag on them. Or maybe something about 'watering the tree of liberty' in that Constitution-calligraphy font."

"American flag hoodies/apparel. I don't know, it's just cringe."
