People are psyched about Disneyland’s first-ever Pride Nite event, launching this June for Pride Month

Just weeks after Disney announced that a gay rights summit would be held at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla., in September comes more great news for the LGBTQ community: This June, Disneyland will also be hosting its first-ever Pride Nite event in Anaheim, Calif. — just in time for Pride Month.

According to Disneyland.com, the festivities will actually be held over two nights, June 13 and 15, and the official name for the event will be Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite.

While there, “guests can enjoy special after-hours park access to shorter attraction wait times, special entertainment, Character experiences, photo opportunities and much more!” the website explains.

There will also be a Rivers of America Dance Party hosted by a DJ, a Pride Cavalcade featuring Mickey and Minnie and even an Ohana Dance Party featuring other beloved Disney characters.

That said, interested guests are encouraged to act fast, as both Pride Nites will be private, ticketed events with limited availability. Pre-sale tickets are available now for Magic Key Holders, but general admission tickets won’t be available until April 20. In all cases, tickets are $139 for guests 3+.

Now that the news has hit social media, people are applauding the decision.

One Disney fan on Twitter thanked the company for “providing a safe & happy place” for all.

Others simply said they’re anxiously awaiting to attend the night themselves.

“We will be there!!!” tweeted one fan. “Can’t wait!”

The Pride Nite ticket includes early admission to the Park at 6 p.m., though the actual festivities won’t get started until 9 p.m. and are expected to run until 1 a.m. In addition, park-goers are encouraged to “step out in style” to make the night even more fun by proudly displaying bright rainbow colors and showing their “unique and fabulous self” through their clothes.
