When it comes to online comments and reviews, people tend to stick to the extremes. After all, if you're going to spend your time telling the world what you think, it might as well be for something that truly fires you up - good or bad. And on the internet, bad often wins out. Just scroll the comments on YouTube or on a Facebook video and watch your faith in humanity plummet a good 20-30 percent.

That's what made it shocking to see that Lush's seasonal lip scrub - at least as of this posting - had a 100 percent recommendation rate. People raved about how well the Sugar Plum Fairy scrub sloughs off dead skin, calling it a "life saver" for chapped lips. Dozens of posts on Instagram tout how much people love the $10 product.

"I thought this product was all hype, but I am happily proven wrong," wrote reviewer Seena Marie. "I even forced my boyfriend to try this product, and he loves it! It taste just like bubble gum."

Like Marie, we had our doubts, but after trying it, we were amazed by the results. Cracked, dry lips were suddenly soft and plush, and - best of all - you could lick off the scrub when you're done. It's made with jojoba oil (known for hydrating and soothing inflamed skin), castor sugar, essential oils, food-grade color, and edible shimmer dust. It has a fruity, plummy-bubblegum scent that seems inspired by those scented Cupcake Surprise dolls from the early '90s. It tastes like rock candy.

The only catch? The scrub's only available during the holiday season, so once it's gone, it's gone. Unless you're willing to try your luck on eBay (which, BTW, it's listed, but do you really want to take the risk with secondhand beauty products?).

You can find it at Lush stores nationwide, or as part of a gift package on Amazon.
