People Are Not Happy With Arya’s Ending on Game of Thrones

She did not kill the Night King for this!

Warning: Game of Thrones spoilers ahead.

The Game of Thrones series finale was an emotional roller coaster, filled with so many twists and turns we didn't see coming. Bran Stark was anointed head of the six kingdoms, while Sansa became queen of the separated North. Dany died. There was a mysterious water bottle in one of the shots. Fans will be processing what went down for weeks, if not months.

And they probably won't get over what happened to Arya anytime soon. In an interesting turn of events, she decided to lead an exploration of unknown territories in Westeros. We're not sure what her intentions are on this journey, but some fans say the move is reminiscent of colonialism.

Many are confused as to why Arya, who's so good at combat, was given this ending. Remember, people: She killed the effing Night King. It seems like her talents are better suited for a more intense mission.

The Twitter reactions, below, echo that sentiment. Check them out for yourself:

Hands down, Arya's biggest moment on GoT this season was the Night King takedown. Maisie Williams revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly she wasn't sure how fans were going to react to it.

"I immediately thought that everybody would hate it, that Arya doesn’t deserve it," she said. "The hardest thing in any series is when you build up a villain that’s so impossible to defeat and then you defeat them. It has to be intelligently done because otherwise people are like, ‘Well, [the villain] couldn’t have been that bad when some 100-pound girl comes in and stabs him.’ You gotta make it cool. And then I told my boyfriend and he was like, ‘Mmm, should be Jon though, really, shouldn’t it?’”

The answer to that is, obviously, no. Arya earned that Night King kill—and every other great thing that happened to her this season too.
