A video of a father-daughter duo at a rock concert in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, is going viral after concertgoers spotted the 19-year-old signing lyrics to her deaf dad.

Karri, 19, and her dad Darrin Carberry are the subjects of the heartwarming video posted to social media by a woman named Jules Maria who noticed the “absolutely beautiful” moment during a Three Days Grace concert on Wednesday.

“We saw this girl and a man who seemed to require a lot of dancing room,” Maria wrote in an Facebook post, “Irritating at first until we realized what was happening. Her father is deaf, she was signing the lyrics to him.”

According to the post, the Carberrys became the main event for Maria, who wrote that it was mesmerizing to watch. Karri tells Yahoo Lifestyle that she was just making sure her dad could have fun.

“We were in the crowd just having fun and I decided to start signing the lyrics to my dad so he could know which songs were playing,” Karri explains. “A lady had come up to me after one of the songs and said that she recorded it, hoping that I didn’t mind, and told me how amazing it was to witness something like that.”

Karri discovered the video on Friday as result of friends and family reaching out to her to ask if she had seen it. In the days since, she says she has received messages from people from all over the world.

“This makes my heart happy,” one person commented on the video. Another wrote, “Lucky father and a loveing daughter.”

As for Karri, she says that seeing the video even put a smile on her face.

“People are telling me they are moved to tears by this video and there is so much positive feedback,” she says. “It’s all a little overwhelming but at the same time it’s all so surreal!”
