We love having a good nosy around a celebrity's home, which is why we can’t get enough of Architectural Digest’s home tours. However, people were quick to notice a rather interesting feature – to say the least – in actress and singer Debby Ryan’s home, that she shares with her rocker husband Josh Dun.
Sat upon one of the built-in shelves in the couple’s Ohio home is something we certainly didn’t expect to see. But we’ve got to say, it would certainly make a great conversation piece for anyone who visits the home.
And it's none other than actor, former professional wrestler and all round icon – Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. Ok, so not literally The Rock, but a bust of him.
Speaking to Architectural Digest, Debby reveals, “so, as we started getting into art we realised that a sweet flex when you buy an adult home is to have like a bust.
“His brother [Josh's], Jordan, whose one of our best friends, his girlfriend is a really talented sculptor out of Germany and we had the opportunity to commission a bust and there was only one option for us – Mr Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson,” she adds.
The talented sculptor in question is Ronja Kappel and she even shared a behind the scenes of how the sculpture came to be on her Instagram feed.
In addition to this particularly unique piece, we see that Ronja has also created Brad Pitt’s character from Fight Club, Tyler Durden. But it was always going to be Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson for Debby and Josh.
“He’s kind of just a guiding light,” Josh remarks. With Debby confirming that he is “a beacon of nobility.”
It’s definitely got us thinking as to which celebrity we would want to commemorate and celebrate in our own homes. Who would you pick as yours?
