People Are Freaking Out Over This Chipotle Hack That Gets You A Meal For Less Than $4
Going out to eat isn't the cheapest habit in the world. While I firmly believe that buying food that someone else expertly made for you is one of life's few pleasures, we're always looking for cheaper alternatives. One TikTok user shared their Chipotle hack for getting a meal for less than $4 but not everyone is buying it.
TikToker @llamassc vlogged her experience visiting Chipotle recently where she got her "$3.95" meal. The video, which was reported on by In The Know, follows her ordering a kid's meal cheese quesadilla, which she says comes with three sides, as well as salsas and chips. Pro tip: She says you have to order the salsas after the sides so they don't count as sides themselves.
In the end, she shows her tab, which is indeed $3.95. Once back at her table, she assembles the quesadilla, which is pretty small, but once it's loaded up with rice, beans, veggies, and all that salsa, it's a good amount of food. She uses the chips to scoop up the salsa and veggies that are left and voila! Cheap eats.
The video has been viewed more than 3 million times, with many people saying they're going to try her hack next time they visit Chipotle. Others, though, disputed her video, saying that the kid's quesadilla meal only comes with two sides and some saying that actually a kid's taco meal (which is about $4.75) is a better option because you get two tortillas and three sides.
We reached out to Chipotle to confirm this pricing, and they told us that, yes, the quesadilla meal only comes with two sides, so you'll likely either have to pay a bit more if you want a third or forgo it. Still this is a great deal.
I wasn't able to find any restrictions on adults ordering kid's meals at Chipotle, but it should go without saying that if you order this (or anything else!) you should be patient and thank your Chipotle employee LOTS for hooking you up.
