People Are Dragging Meghan Markle for Showing Her Shoulders and It's Infuriating
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made their first post-honeymoon appearance together over the weekend to celebrate Trooping the Colour - and Meghan looked stunning. But she also broke royal protocol, choosing to reveal her shoulders (gasp!) in an outfit by Carolina Herrera.
This really shouldn't be a big deal (clearly The Queen was fine with the outfit!) but Twitter showed up to troll The Duchess for daring to reveal a little skin.
Kate will ALWAYS be the classy one. Who wears an off-the-shoulder number to such an event? Oh, MM, that’s right. 🤦♂️

"lady"? She will never be a "lady". She broke the royal protocol again by wearing a sexy dress when a more discreet outfit was de rigueur and not a "off shoulder dress". She will never learn because she craves the limelight

Someone needs to tell Meghan that off the shoulder is a bit much for this event. She's beautiful and could carry off any dress, but this is not the right dress for today.

I do feel her choice of an off the shoulder dress was pushing it for HRH Queen Elizabeth’s Birthday celebration. I have a feeling she’s going to push the limits a little too much?!

Again, ughhh.
A couple of things: First of all, Meghan presumably has an entire team advising her on what is and isn't appropriate for royal functions. Second of all, this is 2018 and women should be allowed to show their shoulders! Third of all, here's Kate Middleton wearing a similar style:
