Unbeknownst to us all, Donnie Wahlberg is one of the busiest celebrities in the entertainment industry. He currently plays NYPD investigator Danny Reagan on Blue Bloods, he's part of the reemerging '90s boy band New Kids on the Block, and he's also the face behind one of the highly-embellished creatures on the new show, The Masked Singer.

OK, so that last bit isn't a 100% proven fact yet, but it is an extremely educated prediction that I firmly believe to be true.

After last week's frenzy over the new Fox series, I tuned in to the second episode to see what all the fuss was about. I was immediately captivated by the spectacle-and, as CountryLiving.com's resident Blue Bloods expert, it didn't take me long to figure out the very first performer. Let's take a deep dive down the rabbit hole, shall we?

This week's episode is titled "New Masks on the Block"-a play on words with New Kids on the Block, clearly. The animal's not-so-subtle hints also gave away its identity: "I've spent most of my life on stage, but I was never alone," and, "Now, I pop up here and I pop up there." The critter was basically screaming at us all, "I'm part of a pop musical group!"

When Donnie the rabbit stepped on stage, it was in full, twitchy, bunny-like character, which proved the unknown individual knows how to act. The character then showed off its singing abilities with an animated rendition of Ricky Martin's "Livin' La Vida Loca."

After the lively performance, the judges were puzzled on just who the masked man-or woman, I suppose-could be. This is where we need to tip our hats to the costume crew of the program. The ensemble was so incredible, Donnie's own wife, Jenny McCarthy, who's one of the judges, didn't even recognize her husband! (He might be covered head-to-toe in a ridiculous, all-white outfit, but still.)

Jenny did seem to be onto something though, as she noted: "I think he's from a boy band." The judges also commented on the trim stature of the animal. Although Donnie might not be as buff as his ultra-fit younger brother Mark, the 49-year-old is still in pretty amazing shape.

Of course, I'm not the only one with this (genius) prophecy. The program reports that 16 percent of Twitter users think it's Donnie behind the suit, which makes him the third most-guessed celebrity, right behind Joey McIntyre and Joey Fatone. Speaking of Twitter, Donnie even tried to throw us all off the trail by tweeting about the episode. "#BeeMask! #Monster! Damn! Whomever is in those masks - they ain’t hardly messing around! #TheMaskedSigner Love it," he wrote.

Silly rabbit, you can't fool us.

As you can see-well, actually, not yet, but soon!-it can really only be Donnie behind the disguise. And the look on Jenny's face when her honey bunny pulls off his veil will be absolute TV gold.

To see if I'm right (which I am), tune into The Masked Singer on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST on FOX.
