Mark your calendars: The 2024 People’s Choice Awards airs live on Sunday, February 18—and two brand new country awards are part of the lineup. This year, the awards show, which presents audience-voted awards in TV, movies, music, and pop culture, will be hosted by actor Simu Liu.

After the first-ever People’s Choice Country Awards brought in remarkable viewership in 2023, NBC decided to add two exciting awards to the People’s Choice Awards queue. The two new awards include ‘The Male Country Artist of the Year’ and ‘The Female Country Artist of the Year,’ with Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson, HARDY, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, and Zach Bryan up for the former; and Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, Gabby Barrett, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney, and Shania Twain nominated for the latter.

Of course, these two awards are just a couple of the highlights of what’s sure to be a star-studded, highly entertaining televised event. A few of this year’s other standout honorees, nominees, and performers include actor and comedian Adam Sandler (who will receive the ‘People’s Icon’ Award), Grammy Award-winning singer Lenny Kravitz (who will receive the ‘Music Icon’ Award), and everyone’s favorite couple, Taylor Swift (who is nominated in five categories) and Travis Kelce (who is up for Athlete of the Year).

Who is performing at the People's Choice Awards?

While fans got to cast their vote for their favorite country artists, they’ll also get to watch one of the nominees perform during the big night. "Watermelon Moonshine" singer, CMA Entertainer of the Year, and Yellowstone actress Lainey Wilson will be taking the stage at the People’s Choice Awards. As for which song she’ll perform off her Grammy Award-winning album Bell Bottom Country, you’ll have to tune in to find out. Pop star Kylie Minogue and honoree Lenny Kravitz are also slated to take the stage.
