People Almost Walk Into a Shark Swimming Super Close to Shore in Australia (Clip)

Sharks have been cruising around a lot of crowded lineups and beaches lately.

There's been seemingly endless footage of great whites catching waves, cruising by surfers and swimmers, and just hanging out around humans.

Yesterday in Australia, a shark was swimming super close to shore–and people–at Manly Beach.

The Manly Observer posted the clip above yesterday, showing the shark swimming inside the flags–which mark official swimming areas–inspiring the nickname, "Law Abiding Shark."

Two men, one with a lifeguard's rescue board, don't even notice the shark until they're super close to it.

Neither of the them look very shocked. One gets on the longboard and belly rides into shore, while the other appears totally unphased and keeps walking.

The Observer captioned the post:

"Well…. We’ve never seen someone nearly walk into a shark at Manly beach before.

"LAW-ABIDING SHARK OFFERS WATER SAFETY DEMONSTRATION We are so delighted to see swimming between the flags- but slightly less relieved but more impressed to hear it’s a shark that’s doing so."

Viewers had a lively discussion going in the comments section and think they figured out what type of shark it was.

According to one viewer the shark was a "whaler":

Mauceano wrote: "Not a baby great white, not a grey nurse, that's a whaler. Silky, bronze, something of that family. Definitely not a White, Bull, nor Grey Nurse."

Another viewer asked: "how can you tell?"

Mauceano replied: "from the drone footage of @scottwilliamsgram .. the caudal fin discards white shark 100%, distance between 1st and 2nd dorsal (and torso size for that length) discard Bull, and tiny 2nd dorsal discards grey nurse."

The news source also posted @scottwilliamsgram's drone footage below showing of the shark leaving the beach.
