Travelers Are Sharing Cities That Stole Their Hearts, And I Didn't Know These Places Existed

Recently, I was looking through a thread started by u/OpeningOne6 on the r/travel subreddit asking "Which city you visited stole your heart?" I was surprised when a lot of the comments mentioned cities I'd never heard of. After looking at pictures of them, it's safe to say my bucket list grew exponentially.

1."Ljubljana, Slovenia. I found it incredibly charming and interesting. I wish I could have spent a month there."

4."Madison, Wisconsin. So much culture and flowers everywhere. Friends took me day camping by the lake, and we went to some cool old bars. I picked up a ton of cheap vinyl, and the thrift shops there are next level. If it wasn't for their insane winters, I'd move there."

17."I just came back from my first visit [in Hobart, Tasmania]. I loved it. Just the perfect-sized city for me (more city-loving people than myself might argue that it's a big town). It was very walkable, had a variety of shops and restaurants, a harbor on one side, and a mountain on another. Just a really nice place."

21."My family stayed [in Abbeyleix, Ireland] when we visited Ireland back in 2018, and it is so quaint and beautiful. The locals were also shocked that we chose to stay there versus other larger towns/cities, but they were the most kind and welcoming people. It’s located in a good area where it didn’t take long for us to visit the Cliffs of Moher, Cork, or Kilkenny. I loved it and really wish to go back soon!"
