According to a press release, Advantage Cleaning Service of Pensacola is teaming up with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit that offers free home cleaning to cancer patients in the United States and Canada, to help Pensacola residents.

“Our goal is to remove the burden of cleaning and allow those recovering from surgery, in active treatment, or in hospice to focus on their health and spending valuable time with loved ones,” states the nonprofit’s website.

The partnership allows Advantage Cleaning Service to help clean two cancer patients’ homes each month for two consecutive months free of charge, and Yeongseo Lee, owner of Advantage Cleaning Service says it is a much-needed partnership.

“I’ve witnessed the struggles of many battling cancer, including my wife’s uncle. Cancer treatment comes with significant costs, making it difficult for patients and their families to afford additional expenses like cleaning services,” said Lee. “Moreover, the physical toll of treatment often renders cleaning tasks overwhelming for patients. The impact of a clean home on their well-being cannot be overstated.

Lee added, “Cleaning services aren’t a luxury; they’re a necessity, and everyone deserves a clean home, especially during such challenging times. While we can’t offer medical care or advice, we’re grateful to provide cleaning services and contribute to our community through donations. We’re happy to help.”
