Penn Badgley Reacts to Viral Clip of Laura Ingraham’s Baffling ‘You’ Confusion

In case you missed it, yesterday the internet was blessed with an absolutely unhinged video of Laura Ingraham, in which she appeared to be incredibly confused by Raymond Arroyo bringing up the show You. TL;DR: Ingraham thought Arroyo was talking about her every time he said “you,” which is a mistake literally no one with a Netflix account would make, but kay.

Anyway, during the segment, Arroyo brought up “all those woke storylines in so many shows today” and then attempted to mention a measles storyline in You. But Ingraham, who seemingly lives in a world where You, the show, doesn’t exist and everything is truly all about her, remained deeply flummoxed.

“Wait, wait, wait, when did I mention measles?” she asked. When Arroyo explained, “It was on You,” she continued, “What was on me? What are you talking about? I’ve never had the measles. We never did a measles and vaccine episode. Is this a joke?”

This exchange continued for a truly unhinged and baffling amount of time, spawning a million memes and tweets and some theories that this was all an elaborate bit on the part of Ingraham and Arroyo.

Which brings us to You star Penn Badgley, who most definitely weighed in and seems pretty convinced that this is a bit.

“It’s gotta be a bit. Dude is committed, he actually made me lol, but watch how he waits for her to cut him off,” Penn tweeted, adding, “Definitely a bit. His delivery is great tho.”

Welp. This has been, as ever, the year 2021.
