Penélope Cruz attended the Creative Impact Awards yesterday to promote her new film Ferrari—however, if we didn’t know any better, we would've thought she just walked off the set of Clueless, as she looked totally fabulous in a pink tweed co-ord.
The Pirates of the Caribbean alum channeled teen fashionista Cher Horowitz in a baby pink, white, and black plaid blazer that featured a black-and-white floral design on the center front and chevron details along the cuff and bodice, paired with a matching asymmetrical skirt. Cruz complimented the matching set, which comes from Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2024 Ready to Wear collection, with black accents, including a strapless top, a small crossbody purse, and strappy open-toe pumps. She kept her jewelry simple with a few rings and thin hoop earrings, glammed up with a glossy nude lip, dark eyeliner, and a red mani pedi, and styled her highlighted brunette hair in voluminous waves with a side part.
Cruz was honored with the Creative Impact in Acting Award during the event in Palm Springs, California, on Friday.
“I feel very lucky to make a living out of acting,” she said while accepting the accolade, as per Variety. “This has been my passion since I was a little girl. When I get an award for doing what I love the most, it feels very confusing and shocking. I used to pray every night when I was a little girl, ‘Please God, don’t lock me in an office.’ I thought, if I cannot release everything that is going on here, I know I would lose my mind.”
The same day, Cruz attended a SAG-AFTRA Ferrari screening and Q&A session at AMC The Grove 14 in Los Angeles, California. For the occasion, she traded her soft pink look for some edge, donning wide-leg dark denim pants, a black button-up blouse, and a gorgeous shiny cropped leather jacket by Chanel that featured dramatic lapels and double-breasted buttons. She kept her footwear and jewelry consistent, while opting for bouncier curls and a glossy pink lip.
Cruz embodied spring while attending another Ferrari event last month, that time the Los Angeles premiere. Looking bright and beautiful, she cut an elegant figure in black floor-length slip dress that featured a colorful floral print, a plunging neckline, and spaghetti straps.
