Penélope Cruz is celebrating the premiere of her new film in style.

The film star, 48, strutted the red carpet like a true professional on Tuesday, Oct. 4, while sporting a trendy business-chic look at the premiere of En Los Márgenes (On The Fringe) in Spain.

The Spanish actress showed up to Tuesday's event at the Capitol cinema in Madrid, where she donned a classic black blazer and trousers with a white blouse underneath. The look was made complete with a black tie and platform black heels.

Cruz also posed for the camera alongside actor and director Juan Diego Botto, who was also dressed up in a black and white ensemble for the screening, as well as their fellow co-star in the film, Luis Tosar.

In addition to starring in the feature film, Botto also directed the social drama, which follows the effects of the eviction crisis in Spain.

Cruz plays the role of Azucena, a supermarket employee struggling to avoid being evicted from the apartment she shares with her husband and young son in the midst of the housing crisis.

"The housing problem is the central theme that defines the poverty problem in Spain," Botto explained to Variety, noting, "The market is not regulated. They can raise your rent 100%, 200% from one day to the next."

According to Botto, he only planned to write the script for the film at first, before Cruz encouraged him to direct it himself.

“It was Penélope who suggested that. ‘You know the material so well,’ she said. ‘You’re in love with the story. Why don’t you do it,'" he recalled to the outlet. "It was a suggestion that I appreciated because she trusted me. She’s a huge star and that trust was very helpful.”
