Penélope Cruz has made a dazzling return to red-carpet dressing.

Yesterday, the Academy Award winner joined her costars at the New York Film Festival’s closing night premiere of her upcoming biopic Ferrari, presented by Campari. For the occasion, where she walked the red carpet alongside Adam Driver and director Michael Mann, Cruz wore a curve-hugging gown by Chanel, which was covered in a white and red floral print and featured frilly white trim along the sleeveless silhouette. She added a pair of black platform ankle-strap pumps adorned with rhinestones, while carrying a black embroidered clutch.

To accessorize, the star chose a pair of pearl earrings with gold triangle charms, also by Chanel, and several silver rings. She wore her hair straight with a side part, and her beauty look included shimmering eye shadow, dramatic black liner, and a glossy nude lip.

Campari also hosted a closing night party following the premiere, as part of the brand’s fifth consecutive year serving as the festival’s exclusive spirits partner. The brand crafted an exclusive cocktail inspired by Ferrari to celebrate the world of art and cinema; the drink combined Campari and vermouth with additional ingredients including Glen Grant 12-year scotch, and balsamic/orange bitters.

During a press conference earlier that day, Cruz opened up about her character’s Laura Ferrari emotional journey throughout the film, calling it “a beautiful homage to all the women that continue to live in the shadows of men.”

“There are still women who are constantly invalidated about what they do, and work from the shadows and in hiding,” she said, per Decider. “In this case, Laura has a husband that loves her and respects her, even if they’re hating each other, and literally killing each other. She could have been a woman that is very sad… Again, they hate each other, but they love each other.” She added that she felt the character was “written and directed in a way that became a beautiful homage to all the women that continue to live in the shadows of men.”
