Penélope Cruz Goes Preppy in Tweed Chanel Minidress and Salma Hayek Wears Bottega Veneta for ‘Ferrari’ Luncheon

Penélope Cruz wore an outfit that was seemingly fit for afternoon tea while attending a celebratory luncheon in her honor on Thursday in Los Angeles.

Hosted by Salma Hayek and Kristen Stewart at the Mandarin Oriental Residences Beverly Hills, the luncheon celebrated Cruz’s upcoming role in the “Ferrari” film, directed by Michael Mann. For the occasion, Cruz donned a white Chanel blazer dress, accessorizing her dainty look with a tweed Chanel double-flap shoulder bag and striped stockings.

This isn’t the first time Cruz has worn Chanel, as the actress has been a brand ambassador for the French fashion house since 2018.

“It’s such an iconic brand and Karl is a genius, and I’ve been admiring everything he’s done since I was a little girl, so it’s such a pleasure working with him,” Cruz told WWD in 2018 when she featured in Chanel’s cruise campaign, shot by Karl Lagerfeld.

Meanwhile, Hayek channeled fall tones at the luncheon in an asymmetric leather midi dress. The actress paired the chocolate-colored number, from Bottega Veneta, with matching peep-toe heels and brown lipstick.

During the event the two actresses posed with Stewart, Patricia Arquette, Maria Bello and more women stars.

Cruz and Hayek were last captured posing together at the 2020 Academy Awards, where they coordinated in black-and-white dresses. Hayek wore a goddess-inspired Gucci white silk georgette gown, while Cruz went black in a custom bustier Chanel gown.

“Ferrari,” which will be released in theaters Dec. 25, tells the story of Enzo Ferrari and his wife Laura. The film, which cast includes Adam Driver, Shailene Woodley and Patrick Dempsey, premiered at the 2023 Venice International Film Festival in August.
