Peeps Will Come Out With 4 Spooky Halloween Flavors This Fall
Sure, it's not even August, but the whole internet is out here talking about Halloween candy already. And lest you worry your fav brands won't be coming out with any kind of seasonally appropriate treat this year, fear not! Peeps just announced they'll be dropping four different Halloween flavors this fall.
The company insists that not only are these forthcoming flavors great for eating and distributing as straight candy, but also that they're perfect for baking into all sorts of other Halloween treats. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it, though—for now, let's focus on what you can expect in-store Peep-wise very soon.
Firstly, Peeps are re-upping last year's Marshmallow Spooky Cats. They're described as "both spooky and sweet–just be sure to eat one before it crosses your path" in a press release and will be going for about $1.50 a pack once on shelves.
Next up are Peeps' Marshmallow Monsters, which are reminiscent of a Frankenstein-type creature. These green guys will "satisfy any goblin or ghoul" and will be similarly priced to their cat friends.
You'll be pleased to know that Marshmallow Pumpkins will be back as well! The orange classics have their same tiny jack-o-lantern face and come in a 24-pack. So many pumpkins! All the pumpkins! Last but not least are Peeps' Marshmallow Ghosts, which are, you know, pretty ghost-shaped and ghost-expressioned. They'll come in three- or nine-packs and will pair nicely with just about any Peep you see above.
It's unclear when exactly all these Peeps will be available nationwide, but if you can count on anything, it's that I will drop literally everything to let you know as soon as I know. Seriously. I may be home alone cramming other candy into my face and mourning the preemptive death of summer when the press release comes through and I will DROP IT ALL to let you know. Talk soon!
