Eddie Vedder, Taylor Swift

Over the past year, celebrities have shared their opinions about Taylor Swift as she catapulted into a new level of superstardom. One of the most recent stars to weigh in  is Eddie Vedder, lead vocalist of the alternative rock group Pearl Jam—and he made a bold comparison involving the "Cruel Summer" songstress.

In an interview with Mojo published on March 15, Vedder reflected on attending one of Swift's Eras Tour concerts with his wife, Jill McCormick, and their two daughters, Olivia and Harper, in Seattle.

“The run-up to it, making friendship bracelets with her and the generosity of these young girls and boys, trading these bracelets with different messages on them—lyrics, song titles, just acts of goodwill on these little bracelets,” Vedder recalled. “They had found their tribe; they were all agreeing on something.”

He continued: “The craziest thing was it reminded me of punk rock crowds, of being aligned with all of the misfits in our town, back in the day. It was galvanizing and powerful.”

Although Vedder didn't share any photos or videos from his Eras Tour experience with his social media followers, fans spotted him at the show. A video clip shared via TikTok showed Vedder taking a selfie with Imagine Dragons' Dan Reynolds at the concert.

In another clip shared on TikTok, Vedder sent a birthday message to a fan's father from the Seattle Eras Tour show. And judging by all the friendship bracelets on his arm, those weren't the only times fans approached him.
