The Peach Truck Tour Is Bringing the Best Georgia Peaches All Around the Country

When Georgia native Stephen Rose moved to Nashville in 2010, he knew the city had a "peach problem." Determined to fix that, Stephen and his wife began selling delicious Fort Valley, Georgia peaches out of a '64 Jeep truck. Of course, Nashvillians gobbled up the drip-droppy peaches by storm, and the Roses knew they were onto something. To ensure that their peaches are perfection, the Roses only peddle 'em mid-May through mid-August, when the fragrant fruit are at their peak.
Thankfully, for other peach-deprived citizens across the country, the Roses now take their peaches on the road with The Peach Truck Tour. Kicking off Saturday, June 1st in Lewisville, Texas and running through Thursday, August 1st with a final stop in Columbus, Indiana. This year, the Peach Truck will travel to Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Texas, and Florida.
On the tour, hungry clients can buy peaches by the half-bushel box for $42 (you can also scoop up pecans by the 10 oz. bag for $10). Purchases must be made with credit or debit cards only. As for what kind of peaches to expect, The Peach Truck sells whatever is freshest, harvesting over 40 varieties, including white peaches and the Elberta.
