Paulina Porizkova is timeless.

On Thursday, the 56-year-old supermodel shared a sultry photo where she's smiling in black lingerie with red-bottom heels. Porizkova used the caption to explain her personal growth when it comes to dressing sexy for herself and praised the grace of aging.

"When I was younger, I put on lingerie for HIM. Now I dress in lingerie for ME," she wrote. "No, I no longer have the suppleness of youth, but I have the softness of maturity. My eyes may not be as clearly defined or wide, but they see so much more. My lips may not be as full, but they are far more willing to speak truths and laugh without restraint. My hair is no longer brown, but the softening silver strands add interest and contrast. My skin no longer reflects light like a polished mirror, instead it gathers it, and puts it inside my heart, where it warms and makes me shine. I celebrate me, my body and the things it can do and feel. (So what - a little hip arthritis…) And mourn the years I lost to be able to fully appreciate it. I’ve never liked the way I look more than I do today.(The other stuff is still work in progress.) And THAT’S why I wear lingerie."

Porizkova recently starred in a Laura Geller Beauty ad for their latest campaign titled "Let's Get Old Together." During the short video that she shared on her Instagram, she is seen sitting poolside in a black bikini before changing into a boardroom-ready suit and working up a sweat at a fitness class.

"Mature, advanced, middle-aged," she began in the video listing off several euphemisms many people use to describe people who are aging. "Let's just say it. I am getting older and what's wrong with that? Older is sexy. Older is experienced. Older is powerful. Sure, I'm getting older, and I'm the best I've ever been."
