Paul Rudd will join the cast of Only Murders in the Building season three, according to Variety.

Following Rudd's appearance as Broadway actor Ben Glenroy in the season two finale, Hulu confirmed to the outlet that the Ant-Man actor will return in a starring role in the series' third season. The streamer did not disclose whether Rudd will become a series regular or if he will continue to appear in a guest capacity.

“Paul Rudd, after making an auspicious entrance into the world of our show at the end of Season 2 as Ben Glenroy, is someone we clearly want to know more about and see in our upcoming Season 3 — as he is a clear source of many upcoming questions and, as ever with our show, many twists yet to come!” John Hoffman, series co-creator, told Variety.

Only Murders in the Building centers on three crime-obsessed podcasters — Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short) and Mabel (Selena Gomez)— who become unlikely friends and investigate murders in their luxurious Upper West Side apartment building. While working to uncover the killer behind Arconia Board President Bunny Folger's murder in season two, Charles, Oliver and Mabel are named suspects in the case and must deal with a competing podcast that flips the script on them.

The show was co-created by Hoffman and Martin, both of whom also executive produce alongside Short, Gomez, Dan Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal and Jamie Babbit.

Season three was officially greenlit last month. Hulu has not yet announced a release date for the forthcoming installment.

Elsewhere in entertainment, Disney+ has released an official trailer for a new making-of documentary, Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi's Return.
