Lisa Niemi Swayze married her second husband, Albert DePrisco, in 2014.

Patrick Swayze is remembered as a talented and kind actor and dancer, who had iconic roles in movies like Dirty Dancing, The Outsiders, Ghost, and more.

After he passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2009 at the age of 57, fans mourned the tragic loss, most of all, his wife, Lisa Niemi Swayze.

Niemi Swayze, a dancer, actress, choreographer, and writer, was married to Swayze for 34 years.

Over 13 years after his death, his widow continues to spread awareness and knowledge of pancreatic cancer, hoping to help others who are fighting the disease and their loved ones.

While recently taking the time to talk with Good Morning America about Swayze and his fight with cancer, Niemi Swayze touched on finding new love amidst her grief and love for Swayze, explaining that, "Just because you lose someone doesn't mean love stops."

Niemi Swayze got married again in 2014 to jeweler Albert DePrisco. She told Good Morning America that both she and DePrisco "felt so blessed to find each other because we still have a lot of love to give, and it's wonderful to find someone to give it to."

In regards to her love for Swayze, the 66-year-old said, "I love Patrick so deeply -- and it's interesting, because that hasn't changed in finding new love." She shared that one of her "widow friends" considered that this is because "love comes from the same well."

Taking a moment to describe her journey with grief after losing Swayze, Niemi Swayze said, "As time goes on, it never goes away. It's kind of like a wound and it heals over, but there's always that scar. And it may not be as visible, but it's always there and you never know when it will raise its head again."

In 2022, Swayze would've turned 70 years old, and Niemi Swayze remarked that this was a particularly difficult time, stating, "...It all came back to me. But you know what? It resolves, and I've learned to take the good with the bad."

She went on, "And, you know, the bad parts are the price of having a wonderful, great love -- and I'll take that any day of the week. I'd do it all over again."
