The Pastel Color-Blocked Sweater Tyler Is Stashing Away for Cold Weather

It's never too soon to think about the next season.

I know there's plenty of time left in summer, but mentally, I've already moved on to fall. When it comes to shopping, I'm thinking about tights, boots and sweaters — like this pastel number from Olivia Rubin.

Too often, I turn to deep, saturated tones for my cold weather clothes. There's nothing wrong with that, of course, but sometimes, when the sun starts setting by 5 p.m., you want something to give you a little more cheer. The sweet, color-blocked shades of this sweater, like the buttercup yellow and minty green, should do the trick. I like that it's grounded by the black crystal heart buttons; that should help it blend right into my typical autumnal wardrobe should I want to tone down the saccharine notes.
