Party in the Parks schedule released

Apr. 20—Impact Prevention has announced the 2024 calendar for their annual series of Party in the Parks events.

The family-friendly series will feature free pizza, Kona Ice, a dunk tank, police cars and fire trucks, as well as construction vehicles and activities.

The schedule is as follows:

—Ironton — Etna Street Park — June 11, 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

—South Point Park — June 18, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

—Ironton — Ninth St. Park — June 25, 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

—Coal Grove — Paul Porter Park — July 23, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

—Rome Township — Lawrence County Fairgrounds (main barn area) — Aug. 6, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

In addition to the usual activities, the event at the fairgrounds will serve as a back-to-school bash with school supplies given out.

Impact Prevention is an Ironton-based nonprofit and works with youth in schools and in after school programs on issues such as substance abuse prevention and suicide prevention.
