'Parks & Rec' Star Talks New International Delight Partnership and All Things Coffee

You may know Retta as Donna from Parks & Recreation or Ruby from Good Girls, but she’s got a new role—and she thinks it might be her best one yet.

Retta was just named International Delight’s first-ever Creamerista. According to the brand, a Creamerista is “a creamer expert who is obsessed with flavor and adds International Delight to their coffee every day.”

So what made the actress and comedian partner with a coffee creamer brand?

“I live for International Delight,” she said simply.

Retta starts every day with a cup of coffee (Peet’s, to be exact) flavored with her favorite Hazelnut creamer.

She hasn’t always been a regular coffee drinker—in fact, she only started drinking it recently. She tried it on a whim while she was home for Christmas one year and she was immediately hooked.

“When I got it, I got it,” she said.

Not long after, she said, she picked up a bottle of International Delight and hasn’t looked back.

So how does one become a Creamerista, and is it a job reserved just for coffee-loving celebs?

Turns out, International Delight is looking on the hunt for a second creamer expert—and it could be you.

Here’s how to throw your hat in the ring: If you pass the Creamerista quiz (you’ve gotta take it before October 16 at 11:59 p.m.), you’ll be entered to win the role. The winner, who will be announced on October 18, will win 1,013 bottles of International Delight creamer.

Listen, this is all very exciting, but I know the real question on everyone’s mind: If Donna Meagle was going to drink an International Delight flavor, which one would it be?

Well, I’m glad you asked. According to Retta, Donna would definitely treat herself with Irish Creme.

As for her Good Girls character Ruby Hill, she’d go with Hazelnut. That’s Retta’s favorite, and she thinks she and Ruby are alike in a lot of ways.

You’re welcome, world.
