May 26—BEMIDJI — The city of

Bemidji Parks and Recreation Department

will offer a nature book club from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays from June 4 through Aug. 13, at the Historic Carnegie Library, 426 Bemidji Ave. N.

The group will meet every other week to discuss nature-themed books. The book, coffee and tea will be provided, a release said.

Titles will include:

* "Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teaching of Plants," by Robin Wall Kimmerer.

* "The Overstory," by Richard Powers.

* "Eager: The Surprising, Secret Life of Beavers and Why They Matter," by Ben Goldfarb.

* "The Invention of Nature: Alexander von Humboldt's New World," by Andrea Wulf.

The cost is $15 per participant.
