Parker Posey’s Dog Sat Front Row at NYFW

By all means, New York Fashion Week is totally the time and place to experiment with style, but Parker Posey took it to another level with her accessory of choice: her dog. The actress attended the Rachel Comey presentation on Wednesday with her dog in tow, packed in a canvas tote.

Not only did the pup get to attend NYFW, but it also got a seat in the coveted front row — well, a seat on Posey’s lap, and she was in the front row. Not even Taylor Schilling and Rashida Jones got seats that good.

We’re not surprised that Posey brought her dog — this is the woman for whom dressing conservatively means wearing only seven different patterns at once. And we are pretty sure this is the dog that she takes everywhere, and has been called the devil by Gawker. She even takes him shopping, during which he pees on clothes.

“I was in a store in Soho and actress Parker Posey was in there too with her (obnoxious) dog,” a shopper told the site in 2008. “The dog was sniffing my handbag, trying to get my left-over croissant. Posey apologized but all glibly, so I sent her dog to hell in Spanish. Anyways, the important thing happened afterwards. She dropped a white silk blouse on the floor-and the dog peed on it…Posey picked up the blouse, gave it to the sales person and left the store."

With that reputation, we’re surprised the dog was allowed so close to fresh new clothes (although it was outside, so there’s that).

There were a few pictures of the pooch climbing all over Posey during the presentation, looking like he was about to jump into the Orange is the New Black star’s lap (Schilling looked about as uncomfortable as that shopper sounded), but let’s hope there was no pee on the runway.
