Paris Hilton's Giant Engagement Ring Was Named After Her

That's hot.

Paris Hilton is engaged — and as you would expect for Paris Hilton, her engagement ring is suitably opulent.

For starters, it's named after her. Shortly after announcing she and boyfriend Carter Reum are engaged, Hilton shared a video detailing the ring's design on her YouTube channel.

The video shows a designer hand-painting the ring, with words overlaid reading, "Paris — named after her." According to Vogue, the emerald cut diamond ring was designed by Jean Dousset — the great-great-grandson of Louis Cartier.

On Wednesday, Hilton revealed that Reum proposed while the couple celebrated her birthday on a private island.

"When you find your soulmate, you don't just know it. You feel it. 💫 " she shared in a caption accompanying a video of photos from big moment. "My love & I have been together since our first date, and for my birthday, he arranged a special trip to tropical paradise. 🏝️ As we walked to dinner along the beach, Carter led us to a cabana adorned with flowers and dropped to one knee. 💍 I said yes, yes to forever ❤️ There's no one I'd rather spend forever with. ✨"

The heiress recently revealed that she and Reum were planning to start a family, and that she has started IVF treatments.

"I'm really excited just to move on for the next step of my life and finally just have a real life," she said. "Because I really do believe that having a family and having children is the meaning of life. And I haven't got to experience that yet, because I didn't feel like anybody deserved that love from me, and now I finally found the person who does."
