Paris Hilton Just Posted 3 Pics with Britney Spears & They Already Have Over a Million Likes

The word “selfie” was added to the Merriam-Webster dictionary in 2014. But according to Paris Hilton, the act of taking selfies has been around for much longer.

Yesterday, the 42-year-old TV personality shared a slideshow of throwback photos on Instagram featuring herself and Britney Spears. And within one day, the post has already accumulated 1.1 million (and counting) likes.

The pics show the duo in various poses, beginning with seductive smiles and ending with pursed lips. In the caption, Hilton explained that the photos were taken in 2006. She also noted that these selfies were taken before “selfies” were even a thing.

She wrote, “17 years ago, Britney and I created the selfie! Tag me in your most epic selfies to celebrate the most iconic invention.”

Hilton has been friends with Spears for several years (if not decades). Although they haven't been pictured together in quite some time, Hilton previously revealed that they still keep in touch. “I love her,” she told Entertainment Tonight in 2021. “I was actually texting her last week, and she’s just so sweet and down to earth and really an amazing woman. I’m so proud of her.”

When she isn’t sharing throwback photos, Hilton is usually posting about the 9-month-old son, Phoenix, she shares with her husband, Carter Reum. Just last week, the Simple Life star shared a video on her official TikTok account featuring baby Phoenix wearing a Cookie Monster costume from Sesame Street.
