I hate to break it to ya, but your holiday party mood board and grocery list is missing one key element: a Paris Hilton-approved alcohol. Sure, that pretty winter-inspired cocktail with a cranberry and rosemary sprig garnish is cute and festive, but we don’t do cute—we do hot as hell. And there is truly nothing more fabulous than smugly sipping a classic martini, leaving bright red lipstick stains on the edge of the glass, all while wearing your sparkliest clothes and biggest bows. Paris said so, not me.

"Martinis just really help elevate the vibes instantly," Paris told Cosmopolitan. "It's perfect for stylish dinner parties, and it's also just really chic to have when you're having a cocktail party. I love when you pair it with caviar, too."

Um, yes please. But at the same time, I get it. Sometimes you want the vibes without the hassle and brainpower—especially when the hosting pressure is on full blast and your at-home bartending skills ain’t much to shout about. But you’re a charming and thoughtful hostess! So you will not deny your guests the experience of, yet again, being influenced by Paris Hilton. Good thing she’s now the Creative Director of the Grey Goose Classic Martini Cocktail and came up with a super easy martini recipe for you.

Well, kinda. The Grey Goose Classic Martini Cocktail is literally a martini in a bottle, so the only thing you have to do is pour over ice, stir (or shake!), and serve. Ease is the name of the holiday hosting game, people!

"It's so perfect for the holidays, and for anyone who wants to entertain," said Paris, "especially when you want those bartender-quality martinis but without all the guesswork that goes into making one."

Not sure about you, but I will be eagerly taking my hosting tips from a woman who DJs in her spare time, releases an all-pink cookware line, and who gets a title made up for her by a top-shelf vodka brand...because clearly that is a lady who knows how to throw a damn good party.

So as my gift to you, I sat down with Paris just before the holiday frenzy (and before the announcement of her new baby girl, London’s, arrival!) to chat about her festive hosting plans, how she's celebrating her son Phoenix's first Christmas, and all the projects she has coming up (A new album! Season 2 of Paris in Love!). Grab a glass and gab with us, why don’t ya?

Paris, you've had so much going on lately—which isn't anything new for you—from launching a new cookware line to releasing a new single with Steve Aoki. How are you planning to unwind from all the busyness this holiday season?

I can't wait to have our first holiday with our little baby boy Phoenix and I'm excited to host at our new home. Getting everyone together at the house is going to be a lot of fun. We love all being together as a family. I love making gingerbread houses with all the little cousins, it's really cute.

Set the scene for me—what will hosting in the new spot look and feel like?

It's going to be a very festive, Santa vibe. I'm getting my pink Christmas trees. I learned decorating from my mom. She's the queen of Christmas. She has so many Christmas decorations everywhere that she's been collecting for years, like different trees and just every single type of decoration you can imagine.

I love that your mom is going toe-to-toe with Mariah Carey as the Queen of Christmas. What holiday traditions are you—

Hi, baby Phoenix! Sorry—my little son just walked in. *to Phoenix* You look so cute. Is that a Fendi outfit? Bye baby! I love you. Ugh, his outfit is so cute.

Oh my gosh, wait, what's his outfit?

He's, like, in a full Fendi tracksuit. It's the cutest thing ever. It's dark green and the whole side of it has the Fendi logo going down the arms and legs. And then he has a little cute beanie that says Fendi on it. He's styling.

What a little cutie! My last question was actually about Phoenix: What holiday traditions are you planning to start with him?

Our new family tradition for Christmas, which I learned from [my husband] Carter, is all dressing up in matching onesies. I've been ordering those for all three of us, and trying to find really cute ones that have the matching set. I can't wait until he's old enough to come into the kitchen with me and start cooking. My mom makes the best holiday foods, so I want my mom to teach me how to make those so I can teach my kids one day.

Are you a big baker during the holidays at all?

Yes, I love to bake cookies and cupcakes! I like to make the yellow batter cake with milk chocolate frosting and sprinkles. I just love anything sweet. Another thing that I like to do for the past couple years is go to this Christmas lights activations. We've done it with [my sister] Nikki and her daughters and it's just so cute watching them look out the window at all the Santas and different Christmas decorations. It's really sweet to see Christmas through the kids' eyes. So I'm excited for Phoenix to enjoy all that as well when he's a little bit older.

Season 2 of Paris in Love is out on Peacock November 30! In the trailer, you surprised your mom with Phoenix in the cutest way. What was that moment like in real time?

I was so nervous. It was difficult though because I was surprising her like, 'Oh by the way, I have a son.' So I went to Chanel first because that's her favorite and bought her this baby blue purse. I feel like if you give someone Chanel, they can't really be upset right after. So I gave her the Chanel and then surprised her with Phoenix. She was just—it was a very emotional, special moment. I'm so happy that we captured it on the show because I'll always be able to watch it back. And then just surprising the rest of my family as well. Everyone was just obviously very, very surprised, but so excited because they know I've wanted to be a mom for so long. Everyone is just so obsessed with our little prince.

What do you want people to understand about that time in your life now that you're making it public?

I tried to keep Phoenix a secret for as long as possible. Literally, nobody knew—except for me and Carter—not even any of my friends and none of our family. My life has been so public that I really wanted my son to come into this world without all of that. So it was really special to have journey with Carter and I alone together, and not have the media, or the public, or anyone commenting on my son before he was safe in this world. It was definitely hard to keep that secret. But we ended up doing it, and it's all in the show. It's really special to have the show, too, because I feel like we have the ultimate at-home videos. Like, I was able to rewatch that and see how much Phoenix has grown.

It's hard to believe your first reality show, The Simple Life, is celebrating 20 years soon. There were so many iconic moments. Do you have any that you look back on and completely cringe?

I know. It's so crazy it's been 20 years. I love that show so much, I still watch it. It really makes me proud that the show we did really started it all—it was the first of its kind and really inspired a whole new generation. And just to see the people still love and enjoy it so much. We have so many fun memories from it. I love that everyone is enjoying it and able to watch it now and laugh. Nicole is the funniest person on the planet. And the fashion! There's so much about the show that's so special and so timeless.

You have a new album coming next year, which is so exciting. What energy are you giving us?

I'm giving everything. It's has dance music to love songs to it all. Sia is executive producing the album and I love her so much. She's just so brilliant and talented, and it's been such an honor to work with her. And Megan Trainor's written me some incredible pop bops. I'm actually gonna go and record right after I get off this call—I'm doing three songs today. I just really felt like someone needed to save pop music. So I put on my cape.
