Parents Involving Their Golden Retriever in Baby Name Selection Is Perfection

This is such a great idea!

With pet ownership rising significantly over the past three decades, it’s no wonder we’re seeing more and more videos of animals being involved in the daily lives of their owners. Pet owners love bringing their fur babies with them everywhere. Hiking, out to eat, family gatherings. You name it and we bet a pet will be there!

We’re not complaining though because we love seeing pets getting more involved in our daily lives. One of our favorite videos to date comes from TikTok user @beaunosebones. This family’s beloved Golden Retriever was getting updated to big brother and they wanted him to help pick out the name of their future baby. The result is absolute perfection!

Ugh, this made our hearts skip a beat! We love how they made this dog involved in the name selection. Now, their first baby will forever and always be connected to the family and the new baby.

“This is going to be your son’s fun fact, ice breaker for life,” wrote @roaminginflipflops. YES! And if no one believes him, he’ll have this video to prove them wrong. @claire.eline suggested, “You have to frame that pic for the nursery! Congratulations!” If they don’t frame this picture, we will. LOL!

As they get ready to bring home the new baby, it’s important to be prepared on how to properly introduce your dog to a newborn baby. We’ve seen countless adorable clips of dogs absolutely loving their tiny humans, but it’s still important to note the dos and don’ts of this introduction. The Parents website suggests preparing a few months before your due date and when the baby is born, have someone bring home a sock or blanket so your fur baby can get used to the smell. And more often than not, be prepared for tons of licks and kisses!
