Parenting Fail: Prince William Fell Asleep at His First Post-Baby Event

It appears royal baby number three is taking a toll on Prince William.

The prince recently attended the annual Anzac Day Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey with his brother, Prince Harry, and his soon-to-be sister-in-law, Meghan Markle. During the service, William struggled to keep his eyes open and appeared to nod off a few times (you know, that sudden jolt when you fall asleep sitting up). Lucky for us, the entire thing was captured on video.

In the clip, the now-famous cameraperson zooms in to get a closer look at the royals onstage. Right away, it’s clear Prince William could have used a few more hours of shut-eye, considering he’s rapidly blinking and struggling to hold his head upright (aka the universal sign of parenthood).

Kate gave birth to the couple’s third child earlier this week. Kensington Palace announced the news on Twitter and revealed that both mother and child are “doing well.”

There, there, Prince William. It can only go up from here.
