Paolina Russo's Optical Illusion Knitwear Lands at Dover Street Market for FW23

Knitwear designer Paolina Russo is bringing her illusionary flair to Dover Street Market by launching an exclusive collection of her signature pieces with the visionary retailer.

Made in association with the International Woolmark Prize 2023, the collection acts as a continuation of Russo's sustainable ethos, with all pieces fully developed in the UK. Its yarn was sourced and spun in Yorkshire, then hand-dyed in Glasgow using natural dyes (made from rocks, spices and flowers -- all sourced in the UK) before being knit in London.

In addition to Russo's Illusion Knit range -- which sports a signature optical effect that sees the garment graphics move and mould along with the wearer -- the 20-piece collection includes shapewear lycra, warrior knits and two reflective leather pieces, which were designed in collaboration with ECCO EL3.

To celebrate the new DSM drop, photographer Aidan Zamiri has captured the collection's essence with a new campaign, dubbed "City Picnic." Spotlighting the distinctive pieces in a haze of suburban nostalgia and escapism, the campaign fuses the gritty streets of the city with flashes of reflective leather and fuschia pink.

Take a look at the campaign above, before Russo's DSM exclusives land in-store and online from August 4.
