Panera Is Fueling Parents With Unlimited Free Coffee This National Coffee Day

Coffee is a necessary part of most mornings. It motivates you to get out of bed. It gives you the boost to get your day going. And it tastes delicious. Luckily, there is a holiday coming up that celebrates all that—National Coffee Day!

This year, it falls on Wednesday, September 29, and Panera is celebrating the day by giving a certain group of people (who arguably need it the most!) free coffee: parents. Simply head over to your closest location, let the cashier know you’re a parent or caregiver, and you’ll get unlimited, free coffee all day. That’s right. Get your morning cup, then come back after the school drop-off for a refill. Make your way over there in the afternoon when you’re feeling the slump, and finally get your last cup in the evening.

"Whether you are toddler parents, tween parents, teenage parents, older parents, foster parents, tired parents, stressed parents, or happy parents, you've had the realization that it's going to take more than one cup of coffee to get you through certain days," Eduardo Luz, Panera's Chief Brand & Concept Officer, said in a release: "We are excited to celebrate parents this National Coffee Day by giving them something they can really appreciate: unlimited coffee from Panera."

The promotion is meant to give back to parents and caregivers, but also give people a small taste of what Panera’s new unlimited coffee subscription would be like, which allows people to get unlimited cups of coffee for $8.99 a month. The brand has also rolled out the Panera “Jump Start Jug,” a hugely oversized coffee vessel that holds one gallon of coffee. Parents can win this monstrosity by entering at jumpstartjug.com. On some mornings, you just may need it.
